Writing AI prompts that make good Tesla wraps
A short, specific prompt beats a long wish list. A simple structure for describing a wrap to AI, with examples you can copy.
AI wrap generation works best when it knows the look you want, not every detail of every panel. Credits are spent per generation, so a clear prompt also saves you retries.
A structure that works
- Base colour and finish — "matte black", "pearl white".
- Main motif — "neon grid lines", "Japanese wave pattern", "camouflage".
- Where it goes — "along the sides", "over the bonnet and roof", "fading towards the rear".
- Mood or style — "synthwave", "minimal", "retro racing".
Put together: Matte black body with glowing cyan neon grid lines along the sides, fading towards the rear, synthwave mood.
Things to avoid
- Long lists of separate elements — the result gets busy. Pick one idea.
- Asking for exact logos or brands — they rarely come out right and may not be yours to use.
- Small text — it will not be legible on the car. Add text yourself in the editor afterwards.
Refine instead of starting over
If a result is close, use Refine with a short instruction such as "make the stripes thinner" or "warmer colours". Extend spreads one panel’s look over the whole car, and Harmonize evens out colours between panels.
